Dream Dictionary

Today i came across a nice site.. dream dictionary.
It intends to help you interpret your dreams. I don’t know how far its true but its definately interesting.
I always believed that dreams are meaningful and they have their roots in human psycology. I also read a book, "Interpretation of dreams" by Sigmund Freud. Its good but little complicated.
This site is cool and has easy to understand explainations of the things that we see in our dreams.
Check it out.

Who would be the winner of the 2006 world cup?

Know something interesting about FIFA World Cup

Brazil won the world cup in 1994. Before that, they had won this title for the last time in 1970.
If you add up: 1970 + 1994 = 3964

Argentina won the world cup for the last time in 1986. Before that only in 1978.
And 1978 + 1986 = 3964

Germany, though, won the world cup in 1990. Before that, they won in 1974.
Look: 1990 + 1974 = 3964

This could lead us to guess the winner of the World Cup in 2002, since it should be the winner
of the 1962 World Cup (In fact 3964 – 2002 = 1962).

And Brazil won the world cup in 1962! (And, in fact, Brazil won the 2002 WC)
This numerology seems to work…

And now, who would be the winner of the 2006 world cup?
Let’s see, 3964 – 2006 = 1958

And who won in 1958?….
Oh, Brazil did !!

How to use chopsticks..

Some of the most important chopstick rules are:

  • Hold your chopsticks towards their end, and not in the middle or the front third.

  • When you are not using your chopsticks and when you are finished eating, lay them down in front of you with the tip to left.

  • Do not stick chopsticks into your food, especially not into rice. Only at funerals are chopsticks stuck into the rice that is put onto the altar.

  • Do not pass food with your chopsticks directly to somebody else’s chopsticks. Only at funerals are the bones of the cremated body given in that way from person to person.

  • Do not spear food with your chopsticks.

  • Do not point with your chopsticks to something or somebody.

  • Do not move your chopsticks around in the air too much, nor play with them.

  • Do not move around plates or bowls with chopsticks.

  • To separate a piece of food into two pieces, exert controlled pressure on the chopsticks while moving them apart from each other. This needs much exercise.

  • If you have already used your chopsticks, use the opposite end of your chopsticks in order to move food from a shared plate to your own plate.

Knife and fork are used for Western food only. Spoons are sometimes used to eat Japanese dishes that are difficult to eat with chopsticks, for example some donburi dishes or Japanese style curry rice. A Chinese style ceramic spoon is sometimes used to eat soups.

India has a online Grievance forum

Can you imagine this happening in INDIA?

Government of India has a online Grievance forum at:

http://darpg-grievance.nic.in

The government wants people to use this tool to highlight the problems they faced while dealing with Government officials or departments like Passport Office, Electricity board, BSNL/MTNL, Railways etc etc.

I know many people will say that these things don’t work in India, but this actually works as one of our colleague in CSC found. The guy I’m talking about lives in Faridabad. Couple of months back, the Faridabad Municipal Corporation laid new roads in his area and the residents were very happy about it. But 2 weeks later, BSNL dugged up the newly laid roads to install new cables which annoyed all the residents including this guy. But it was only this guy who used the above listed grievance forum to highlight his concern. And to his surprise, BSNL and Municipal Corporation of faridabad was served a show cause notice and the guy received a copy of the notice in one week. Government has asked the MC and BSNL about the goof up as its clear that both the government departments were not in sync at all.

So use this grievance forum and educate others who don’t know about this facility.

This way we can at least raise our concerns instead of just talking about the ‘System’ in India. Invite your friends to contribute for many such happenings.
