This is an entry from my diary when I was studying Event Management in Fergusson College, Pune.
I was a part of managing team of PIIF 2003 (Pune International Film Festival ).
I’ve lost the touch with the friends mentioned in this post. Life has changed a lot within past few years. I hardly get time to watch movies these days.

9 Dec 2003
Past few days are turning out to be the golden moments.
Last Sunday I got an opportunity to share the stage with legendary Dev Aanand, Lata mangeshkar and my all time favorite hero Sajnu baba. It was a "Life time achievement" award ceremony held at E-Square.
Neha called me up and ask to be there in the evening. I was not surprised to see Ira as she is always there whenever they need smart people. She was in a great mood and this time bugged me a lot.
Last time while working on AIDS day, she was so frustrated that even I was afraid of talking with her. But this time, she and nikki made a good company. Later, Ketho & Shalinee joined d party. We were assigned to do the same job of offering momentous to the celebrities.
I just went crazy after seeing Sanju Dutt walking by my side. I was watching just him throughout the show. I didn’t have the blazer but at the last moment I managed to get one.
They screened old days of Dev aanand & Lata mangeshkar. Boring speech of Dev & humorous marathi speech of Lata followed it. But our sanju baba was least bothered. He was busy with his cell, playing games. He tried to register his presence by wearing plastic smile time to time.
The event went very well. I had a nice time with Ira after the event as she was waiting for her friend to come. We did a lot of masti out there. Shalinee, nikki and Ira were really in the mood.
Neha promised that she’d treat us a movie some day.And that ‘someday’ tuned out to be yesterday. After a typical Monday at office I met Rishi at college on my way to home. He had a guitar with broken string.
I enjoy smoking with him. It’s a fun to watch his face when I blow the smoke. He is the only non-smoker I’ve ever seen who enjoys the company of smokers. There we decided to go for a French movie showing at E-Square. We departed.
Mona was not there at home. I left the home leaving a note for him & had one wadapaw & one samosa on my way. Neha called up asking me to hurry up. I saw ketho at the entrance. I had to rush, as the movie was about to start.
It was already 8.20. I got totally bowled over after seeing the crowd. There wasn’t any space even to stand. Somehow I found a place near Khushboo. The movie was fantastic and quite hilarious. It was, ‘Sex, modesty & tears’. And these three terms were very well portrayed throughout the movie.
After the movie got over I came out and voila! I saw jintya ! We met after the long gap of several years. I just didn’t know how to catch up with his frequency. Things have changed drastically. I had hardly spent some time with him when Neha called me up and asked to be at the entrance.
Later Ira came with her brother. I said bye to jintya & headed towards the Box.
I just couldn’t believe myself when I sat on the couch. The place was simply amazing. It was a very rich feeling. Very few people get the chance to sit on that couch. That space is generally reserved for bollywood’s who’s who. It simply thrilling experience to watch a movie from that side.
I enjoyed the songs but went dizzy between emotional scenes. Neha and Ira were literally rolling their tears. Oh god! Help these poor girls. I kept bugging Ira whenever Shahrukh came on the screen.
All I can say is that it was an unforgettable experience. I enjoyed the time to fullest thinking, "kya pata, Kal ho na ho !!"
I had one more smoke while leaving and Neha really didn’t like that. She advised me not to smoke this much. I reached home in a stinking cold. Mona was sleeping and he told me that he’ll leave tomorrow for an audit for a week.
I went to bed after recollecting the memories of that beautiful night.
